Everyone's Baaing

Cypress moved out a little over a week ago.  He's off to meet some new ewes.

Good-bye, Cypress!

This year's rams-- Hawk, Merlin, and Cormorant-- moved in with the big boys yesterday (now just Oregano and the wethers).  Pelican, a wether, went with them.  He's staying at Sleepy Acres, so we thought we'd move him in with the sheep who will be his long-term companions.

Not long after we moved them, I realized that their mothers-- Tiffany, Molly, and Sequoia -- are three of our loudest ewes.  They don't seem too concerned, though, until their sons start baaing.  The lamb rams are taking the transition pretty well, but Pelican is constantly baaing.

Pelican was all smiles before his big move.

Pelican freaking out.
Pelican trying to get the others to freak out, too.

Cormorant staying (mostly) calm.

Merlin has his twin with him for moral support.

Mom Sequoia (brown ewe in the middle) seems embarrassed.

By the way, Oregano is doing a great job accepting his new roommates.

There were a lot of pictures on my memory card with baaing sheep (and still a lot of baaing outside), so today's pictures have a baaing theme...
