Together Again

All the ewes and lambs are together again. As expected, there were a few minor scuffles, but overall, they seem happy to be together again.

That's not Elsie!  It's her mini-me, Vanilla.

Adelie, one of 2017's lambs, looks like a big girl.

Tricot is back with her buddies.

Chamomile meets Pelican.

A very rare pic of Cayenne.

Sassy & Peanut butt heads while Budgie and Eagle watch.

Sandpiper seems a little overwhelmed by it all.

A Big Day

Yesterday was a big day.  We sheared Barack O'Llama.  Compared to previous years, he was very well-behaved.

About halfway done...
When he was all done, several of the ewes acted like they weren't sure who he was and sniffed him (a dangerous proposition).

Barack showing off his new look.

Barack O'Llama and the ewes were visited by a deer.  (Maybe she didn't recognize the llama either?)

The deer seems a little worried about walking past Barack.

A few ewe lambs went to a new home.

Kestrel
Elvira & Merganser don't seem to be missing Meadowlark too much.

They Do Exist

There haven't been a lot pictures of them recently, but the boys are still grazing--and napping.  The boys nap a lot more than the ewes.  Cypress, Spruce, Peat, and Almond line up for a picture while Oregano heads for the pasture.  Yeti was probably snoozing somewhere....or seeking out snacks.

The last few posts have been all about the lambs.  Now it's their mom's turn.

It's been awhile since the retired and vacationing ewes have had their turn on the blog.  (Or, as Henrietta claims, eating peanuts.)
