It's Timmy!

Our current rams are a little too closely related to our youngest batch of ewes (those who will be bred for the first time in the fall). Now that Chert has moved on to a new home with new ladies (and a couple of familiar faces), we brought home Timmy.

Timmy!

He was well-behaved in the van (most of the sheep have been).  We kept telling him about all the nice new ladies he will meet.  I don't think he believes us as all the ewes are hiding out in their shelter.

Where are the girls?  Timmy meets Pecan.

Timmy is closely related to one of our sheep.  Can you guess who?

Feldspar & Almond wait to meet Timmy.

He is Almond's father.  I love Almond's fleece (as I go on and on about), so we knew we wanted him when we saw him for sale.

A lot of white: Feldspar, Almond, & Timmy

So far, father and son are getting along famously.  There aren't any problems with the other wethers or Feldspar yet, either.  It's so hot that they are hanging out in the shelter and/or the shade, so we'll see what happens when it cools off a little.
