Busy Season

Our busy season has begun!  We have a lot to do to get ready for shearing and lambing.  Today was mainly spent on routine tasks.  We started with a trip to get feed and shearing supplies.  Then, it was time once again to move hay bales.

Barack is helping: testing the hay bale for safety & quality.

Barack is not the only one excited about a new hay bale.

Scott raked the pine needles.  The pine needles were covering a lot of green grass that the sheep could've been eating.  They were excited to see it uncovered.

Barack helps rake, of course.

"Woo hoo! Green plants!"

Barack also protected us from the bull.

Barack is a busy guy.

We did yet another udder check....and I saw some udders!  I think it's safe to say that Elvira is definitely pregnant.

Elvira

And just because she's cute: Filly.

Our shyest sheep loves the camera.
